A Panchayath is a collective body of elected representatives formed to manage the administration of Panchayathi Raj institutions. In the case of a Grama Panchayath, it is the primary committee responsible for executing the decisions of the Gramasabha (village assembly) and handling day-to-day administration.The main components of a Panchayath are:President: The head of the Panchayath. They chair the meetings and oversee the overall functioning of the Panchayath.Vice President: Performs the duties of the President in their absence.Ward Members: Representatives elected from each individual ward within the Panchayath.Standing Committees: These are sub-committees formed to streamline decision-making in specific areas such as finance, development, welfare, health, and education.
